Welcome to staynearversailles.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our Site, as well as any booking or stay arranged through us. By browsing the Site or booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us
Stay Near Versailles is a guest accommodation and curated-experience service located in the Vallée de Chevreuse (Yvelines, France). We offer short stays combined with accompaniment and transport to cultural destinations in and around Versailles.

References to “we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms mean the operator above.
2. Services Offered
Our standard package includes:
- Accommodation in one of the following options:
- Private room on the upper floor, with separate bathroom and toilet.
- Independent garden-level apartment with kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area (configurable as one large bed or two separate beds on request).
- French breakfast each morning of the stay.
- Transport to and from partner destinations within the program.
The following are not included and remain the guest’s responsibility:
- Entrance tickets and guided-tour fees at monuments and sites.
- Lunches and personal expenses during excursions.
- Travel to and from the property (airport, train station transfers unless separately agreed).
- Travel and cancellation insurance.
Optional add-ons:
- Dinner: €40 per person, to be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
- Premium destinations (Giverny, La Roche-Guyon) are available with a supplementary fee.
Monday is reserved for free time, rest, or independent exploration. Guided or accompanied excursions run from Tuesday to Sunday.
3. Booking and Reservations
- The minimum length of stay is three (3) nights.
- Bookings may be made through the Site, by email, or by phone.
- A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the deposit and our written confirmation.
- The lead guest must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all members of their party.
- Guests select their destinations from our proposed list; the final itinerary is agreed together upon arrival, subject to opening days, seasonality, and availability.
4. Pricing
Start from :
- €390 per night for couple.
- €220 per night for single occupancy.
- +€40 per person for each optional dinner.
- Premium destinations incur an additional fee, quoted before booking confirmation.
All prices are quoted in euros (€) and include applicable French taxes, except tourist tax (“taxe de séjour”), which may be collected separately in accordance with local regulations.
Entrance fees, guided-tour costs, and personal expenses are not included.
5. Payment
- A deposit of 70% is required at least 30 days before the day of arrival.
Transfers from outside the UE must be done via Wise
- Guests will receive an invoice upon request.
6. Cancellation and Modification
If a cancellation or postponement request is received at least 30 days before your arrival, the Provider will charge a €150 cancellation/postponement fee, plus 10% of the total stay fee being canceled or postponed.
All cancellations are subject to fees.
For cancellations or postponements received less than 30 days prior to arrival, no refund will be issued.
Cancellation requests made between the 1st and 15th of a month will be processed on the last day of that month.
Requests made after the 15th will be processed on the last day of the following month.
7. House Rules
To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, guests agree to:
- Refrain from smoking anywhere inside the property.
- Respect quiet hours between 22:00 and 08:00.
- Not exceed the agreed maximum number of occupants.
- Take reasonable care of the accommodation, its furniture, and its surroundings.
- Not organise parties or events without prior written consent.
- Inform us in advance if travelling with pets; pets are accepted only with explicit agreement.
Any damage caused to the property or its contents will be charged to the lead guest at replacement or repair cost.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or to terminate a stay, without refund, in the event of serious breach of these rules, disrespectful behaviour, or conduct likely to disturb other guests or neighbours.
8. Excursions, Transport, and Tickets
- The itinerary is jointly agreed and may be adapted to opening hours, weather, strikes, maintenance closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
- Transport is provided in our private vehicle; guests agree to comply with French road-safety rules, including the wearing of seatbelts.
- Entrance tickets for châteaux, gardens, museums, and similar sites are purchased separately by the guest. We can advise and assist with online booking.
- Participation in excursions is at the guest’s own risk. Guests are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable physical condition for walking tours and visits.
- We are not responsible for decisions made by third-party sites (e.g. last-minute closure of Versailles, cancellation of a tour slot). In such cases, we will propose a reasonable alternative.
9. Liability
- We take all reasonable care to provide the services described, but we are bound by an obligation of means and not of result regarding elements outside our direct control (third-party sites, public transport, weather).
- We decline responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought onto the property or taken on excursions.
- Our liability in respect of any stay is, to the extent permitted by law, limited to the total amount paid by the guest for that stay.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, nor for any other liability that cannot be limited under French law.
10. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system.
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute content from the Site except as permitted below.
The Site is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may suspend or modify it at any time.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including texts, photographs, logos, graphics, and layout — is the property of Stay Near Versailles or its licensors and is protected by French and international intellectual-property law.
You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use (reproduction, republication, commercial exploitation) requires our prior written consent.
12. Personal Data
We process personal data (name, contact details, payment information, dietary preferences, etc.) in accordance with the French Data Protection Act (“Loi Informatique et Libertés”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

13. Reviews and Photos
If you share photos or reviews of your stay with us or on public platforms, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reuse that content on our Site and social media, unless you expressly object. You guarantee that such content does not infringe third-party rights.
We may take photographs of common areas for marketing purposes. No photograph of a guest will be published without their consent.
14. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemic-related restrictions, strikes, transport disruptions, administrative closures, or acts of public authority.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the one published on the Site at the time your booking is confirmed. For general browsing, the current version on the Site applies.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, guests are encouraged to contact us first at [contact email] so that we can seek an amicable solution.
European consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Failing an amicable settlement, disputes shall be submitted to the competent French courts in accordance with the rules of the French Code of Civil Procedure.
